I would love to visit your school or organization!
I offer engaging presentations for children and adults that feature science, writing, and lots of FUN!
With both in-person and virtual visit options, every presentation is interactive with plenty of time for questions and answers.
My school presentations are designed for grades K-8.
Presentations for Upper Elementary/Middle School:
Science Meets Story:
I describe my years as a research scientist – from working with ultra-clean lab mice to designing experiments for astronauts to perform on the International Space Station – how science and story fit together and inspire students to pursue their interests…even if they seem unrelated.
Audience Size: Assembly or classroom.
45-60 minutes, Ages 10 and up
Writing Ghost Stories:
I talk about the inspiration behind my ghost story – “White Thing” – featured in The Haunted States of America Anthology and walk students through the basic steps of outlining their own spooky story. Includes readings, as requested.
Audience Size: Assembly or classroom
45-60 minutes, Ages 9 and up

Presentations for Lower Elementary
