Fall is my favorite season – the colors, the smells, the crisp air. Which is why I was thrilled when my publisher told me that my debut picture book – Trunk Goes Thunk! – would be part of their Fall 2024 list! And also why I set my story, White Thing, part of the The Haunted States of America Anthology in the fall in North Alabama. From where I sit at my writing desk, with my view out a large, sunny window, fall is only beginning to whisper in my corner of the world. But it’s coming…and with it, more fun announcements!
My debut picture book, Trunk Goes Thunk! A Woodland Tale of Opposites, officially releases on October 8!! But there have been some “early sightings” – at the Mississippi Book Festival in Jackson and at the grand opening of my local indie bookstore’s brick and mortar store this past weekend!
I’ll be reading Trunk Goes Thunk! and signing copies at a story time at The Snail on the Wall in a little over a week!
I hope to see you at one of my upcoming events (schedule below)! And I would love to come talk to your students (or Zoom with them, if that works better) for a school visit.

It has been SO much fun to talk about the story behind the story of this lovely book, how I sold the manuscript to Gnome Road, and how fortunate I was to be paired with my incredibly talented illustrators, Chantelle and Burgen Thorne! I was even invited to be on my first podcast – “Turning Back the Pages”! If you’d like to read more, enter Giveaways, and see exclusive sneak peeks of the book, check out my “blog tour” links below:
